MLK Days of Service: Health and Wellness Day 2023

Volunteer Memphis 2023 MLK Days of Service is a week-long service event taking place January 12 – January 16 encouraging the City of Memphis to Care Like King. Saturday, January 14 is all about providing health and wellness services to the community. This year we will be at 2 locations, the Orange Mound Community Center and the Hollywood Community Center. We invite everyone to stop by and enjoy the live music, free health and wellness items, mammograms, vaccines, and much more.

Orange Mound Community Center: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Join us Saturday, January 14 at the Orange Mound Community center for free food, live music, vaccines, mammograms, games, and more. If you are interested in getting a Mammogram at the Orange Mound Community Center, please register a time with Baptist Memorial Healthcare by calling (901) 277-4433. Baptist will be at the Orange Mound Community Center from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm providing Mammograms by appointment, and insurance is required.

Anyone without insurance can call (901) 226-0832 for a funding application. Applicants will know if they will receive funding immediately.

 

Hollywood Community Center: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Join us Saturday, January 14 at the Hollywood Community Center for free vaccines, diaper distribution, live music, mammograms, games, and more. If you are interested in getting a mammogram at the Hollywood Community Center, please register a time with Methodist Le Bonheur by clicking here. Be sure to select Hollywood Community Center under the Employer/Church/Event Name. The Methodist mammogram bus will be at the Hollywood Community Center from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Insurance is required for mammograms.
