Action Initiatives

For over 35 years, Leadership Memphis has empowered the community to step up with our signature leadership programs. Recently, we’ve extended our organizations mission by implementing various action initiatives to help enhance our city economically and socially by increasing the number of adults who have college degrees and to ensure that high school graduates further their education and training beyond high school. In addition, Volunteer Memphis is the regional Volunteer Center and local affiliate of the HandsOn Network and Points Of Light, the world’s leading volunteer organization founded by former President George H.W. Bush.

Since 1975, Volunteer Memphis has been working to develop, promote, and support volunteerism in the Greater Memphis Area.

In 2015, then named Volunteer Mid-South, was acquired by Leadership Memphis, where our expertise in matching volunteers with opportunities is married effectively with efforts to build a great Memphis by training and equipping great leaders.
