Program
Descriptions: This
links you to our on-line database tool that helps find volunteer
opportunities (by date, cause, agency, you name it!) in non-profit
agencies throughout our community. Check
it out! This
training program is for current and future board members and covers the
important roles and responsibilities of board members.
Training is also available for nonprofit organizations to assist
them in refining the recruitment process in order to identify strong
leaders and individuals passionate about their mission. Annual
event hosted by the CVC that honors companies for outstanding leadership
and projects in volunteerism. Corporate
Volunteer Council (CVC) Helps
companies of all sizes create new and support existing workplace volunteer
programs. Also provides a
great network of like-minded community business partners.
Coordinates
with local, state and federal emergency management groups to recruit and
match volunteers with disaster relief volunteer opportunities in the event
of a disaster.
Designed for the family that is looking for meaningful volunteer experiences to share with one another and ways to help shape our community.
Memphis Mentoring Partnership (MMP) Coalition
of organizations, coordinated by Volunteer Memphis, providing youth
mentoring to the community. MMP provides training and technical assistance
and helps organizations do a better job of serving youth who need
mentoring.
Creates,
promotes, and implements events year round to make youth volunteerism
easy, accessible, and fun. The
MTV Summer Program helps place teens in agencies throughout the community. Create
partnerships with various groups to address community needs.
Current partnerships include: Annual
National Volunteer Week event that provides a public and highly visible
venue for nonprofits to recognize their most outstanding volunteers in a
variety of categories. Training Services is dedicated to helping non-profit agencies and other organizations develop strong, effective volunteer programs
that actively address community needs. We facilitate numerous workshops on
all aspects of volunteer management (nonprofit, faith-based, etc),
mentoring, and non-profit board leadership.
Also provide consulting, customized trainings, and referral
